As a Security Business Owner, you have or will inevitably deal with losses in the form of security uniforms that have been lost, damaged or stolen (or not returned when the employee is terminated or voluntarily resigns). In order to combat this ever growing expense, we have developed a form that serves to contractually bind the employer and employee in a Uniform Rental Agreement. The Uniform Rental Agreement should be signed and kept with the security officer’s personnel file.
Pursuant to the Uniform Rental Agreement, the security officer is (in essence) renting the uniform from you (the employer). The security officer is acknowledging in writing that he/she is renting each item or garment and he/she acknowledges the replacement cost for each if they lose, intentionally damage or steal the uniform(s). The Uniform Rental Agreement also states that the employee gives you permission to deduct the amount owed in their last paycheck as a result of the security officer not returning the uniform(s).
